Dojo kun

#karate#life

The dojo kun is the short code of conduct recited at the end of training in many karate dojos — a handful of one-line precepts that students repeat together.

In Shotokan the classic five are: seek perfection of character, be faithful, endeavor, respect others, refrain from violent behavior. It's the ethical frame around the physical training — the reminder that karate is meant to build a person, not just a fighter.
